Delete Your Account

Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open xchngbl and go to Profile.
2. Tap Delete My Account.
3. Type your handle when prompted to confirm.

This deletes your account directly — no email required, and it cannot be undone.

Delete by email

If you can't access the app, email us at support@xchngbl.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”, from the email address associated with your account (or include your account email or handle). We'll verify and process your request.

What gets deleted

We permanently remove the personal data tied to your account, including:

• Your name, email, phone number (if provided), exact location, and date of birth
• Your profile information and saved items
• Your push-notification tokens
• Your handle, which is released and becomes available again

Your listings are removed from public view.

What's kept, and why

Some information is retained, consistent with our Privacy Policy:

• Trades, messages, and ratings you exchanged with others may be kept in anonymized form (shown as “[Deleted user]”) so your former trading partners keep accurate records and public rating aggregates stay intact.
• Records we keep for safety, moderation, fraud prevention, and law-enforcement compliance may be retained indefinitely as part of our audit trail.
• Uploaded photos are removed from public listings, but copies may persist in our storage and backup infrastructure for a period determined by our service providers.
• Records we're legally required to keep are retained for as long as the law requires.
